Be charmed by the heritage-listed buildings in Bellingen’s compact town centre, including the Hammond and Wheatley building on Hyde Street. This building dates from 1909 and is now home to the fashion and homewares store, Emporium Bellingen, and the eclectic Dervish Gallery.

Old Butter Factory, Bellingen

The place where heritage, history and great food collide, the heritage listed Butter Factory is situated on the eastern side of Bellingen, a 25 minute drive from Coffs Harbour along the Waterfall Way or approximately 30 minutes from the beautiful Dorrigo National Park escarpment. Starting out as a butter factory in 1906, you can still see remnants of its history situated around the site which is also home to a number of retail spaces and local gallery. A popular venue for parties and weddings, the Butter Factory has a lot to offer its patrons including an old truck and even a few cows.
